And could you please clarify the meaning of bona fide?

Dear Yuki, I’m afraid not. The prerequisite for joining this chess competition is that you must be a representative to any tertiary academic institutes. Since you will only be enrolled in IPTA during September, your status is not eligible. However, you may join our event next time as GACC chess competition will be held annually.
As for the “bona fide”, it means legal participation which comply with the rules and regulations. Hope this clear your doubt.
Anyway, we’re looking forward for your participation in our next year event. =)
